Xiaomi has introduced WinPlay engine. The company has stated that this system-level feature enables seamless cross-platform compatibility between Xiaomi’s HyperOS and Windows Gaming. Designed for the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4, this feature allows local gaming of Windows titles on the tablet, without the need for an internet connection.
Users can also connect controllers, keyboard and mouse to the tablet to get a PC-like experience. Multiplayer support is also available in it, in which four players can play together. Additionally, it also offers enhanced haptic feedback on Xbox controllers. A Chinese tipster also posted a video on Weibo. shared which shows this feature in action on the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4.
Gizmochina’s according toAccording to Xiaomi’s internal testing, the GPU performance loss through WinPlay is only 2.9%. With an average power consumption of only 8.3W, the system ensures efficiency. The system is claimed to provide smooth performance with the best flow during the gaming process, from game loading to rendering.
Currently WinPlay is compatible with Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro. Apart from games, it does not support any other Windows apps. Currently it is in the testing phase and the company has not yet announced any timeline for the release of the stable version.
